# Get Domain by BobWork

> Domain registration an AI agent can run end to end: search with no key, sign the person up by email code, get a Stripe link for them to pay, then the domain is registered and DNS is set up on its own. Registry price + 10% (card fees included). .com $14.99/year. Optional hosted mailboxes $3/month each.

## Flow for an agent

1. Search, no key: GET https://getdomain.bobwork.ai/api/public/domains/search?q=acme
   Returns results with avail, price_cents (first term), renew_cents, years (some TLDs such as .ai need 2 years). 20 searches per 5 minutes per IP.
2. Get a key for the person: POST /api/v1/signup/code {"email": "person@company.com"} -> {nonce}. A 6-digit code is emailed to the person.
   POST /api/v1/signup/verify {"nonce": "...", "code": "123456", "key_name": "my agent"} -> {"api_key": "bwk_..."}. Keep it; it is shown once.
3. Buy: POST /api/v1/shop/checkout  Authorization: Bearer bwk_...

   -> {"ok": true, "url": "https://checkout.stripe.com/...", "order": "o_..."}. Give the url to the person. The agent cannot pay.
4. Track: GET /api/v1/shop/orders (status: checkout -> paid -> working -> done). GET /api/v1/shop/domains lists domains, mailboxes, renewal.
5. Point it: POST /api/v1/shop/domains/{domain}/dns {"type": "CNAME", "name": "www", "content": "cname.vercel-dns.com", "ttl": 600}
   name is the subdomain ("" = the domain itself). Types: A, AAAA, CNAME, ALIAS, MX, TXT, CAA, SRV. GET the same path to list; POST .../dns/{id}/delete to remove.
6. Mailboxes: POST /api/v1/shop/domains/{domain}/mailboxes {"mailboxes": [{"local": "team", "name": "Team"}]} -> Stripe url ($3/mailbox/month).
   GET /api/v1/shop/mailboxes/{email} -> password, IMAP and SMTP settings.

## Rules
- Up to 10 domains per order, 3 mailboxes per domain, 50 domains per account. Premium names are not sold.
- Availability is re-checked at checkout and before registration; a domain the registry refuses after payment is refunded at once.
- Renewals bill the saved card yearly, 30 days before expiry. Transfer-out on request by email.
- Do not delete the MX, SPF, DKIM or DMARC records on a domain with hosted mailboxes.
